New Hire Enrollment
This is your chance to elect benefits and enroll yourself and your eligible dependents. If you take no action now, you will have no benefits and you will not have another chance to elect them until next year’s open enrollment—unless you experience a qualifying life event like a birth, adoption, marriage, or divorce before that time.
Qualifying Life Events
If you experience a qualifying life event, an election change must be made within 30 days of the event.
Making Changes
Unless you experience a qualifying life event, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period. An election change must be made within 30 days of the qualifying event. Qualifying life events include:
Marriage, divorce, legal separation, or death of a spouse
Change in residence
Birth, adoption, or death of a child
Change in child’s dependent status
Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan
