About Open Enrollment

Open enrollment is your once-a-year chance to elect or waive benefits, unless you experience a qualifying life event.

It's important to review your benefit choices, share options with your family, and enroll in benefits on time.

Making Changes

Unless you experience a qualifying life event, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period. An election change must be made within 30 days of the qualifying event. Qualifying life events include:

Marriage, divorce, legal separation, or death of a spouse

Change in residence

Birth, adoption, or death of a child

Change in child’s dependent status

Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan

  • Medical: Moving to UnitedHealthcare (UHC) with national provider network access and no changes to employee contributions.

  • Dental: Moving to UHC with national provider network access! Employee premiums will decrease slightly with the move to UHC.

  • Vision: Moving to UHC with access to the nationwide UnitedHealthcare Vision Network. Choose from thousands of in-network providers including Walmart, Target and Costco! Employee premiums will decrease slightly with the move to UHC.

  • ​​Voluntary Life/AD&D: Provide financial security for your loved ones if you pass away. THIS YEAR ONLY, elect up to $100,000 of coverage through UHC without answering any health questions. Guaranteed issue coverage is also available for spouses ($20K) and children ($10K) (limits may apply).

Protect Your Income

  • NEW! Voluntary Short-Term & Long-Term Disability: Now offered through UHC! Protecting your paycheck is important! THIS YEAR ONLY:  Elect coverages with NO health questions -- guaranteed issue.

  • Short-Term Disability: Provides income replacement in the event you are unable to work due to injury or sickness.​​

​​

  • Long-Term Disability: Provides income replacement in the event you are still unable to work after exhausting your short-term disability coverage.

Protect Your Wallet

  • NEW! Accident, Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity: Now offered through UHC! Each benefit includes a $100 wellness benefit that pays you for completing annual health screenings.

  • Accident: Pays you cash benefits if you are injured in a covered, non-work-related accident. Can purchase for yourself or your whole family. 

​

  • Critical Illness: Pays a cash benefit of up to $30,000 to you and/or your dependents when diagnosed with a covered condition--including cancer, stroke and heart attack. No health questions asked--guaranteed issue.

  • Hospital Indemnity: Pays you cash benefits when admitted and/or confined to a hospital or ICU. Coverage for pregnancy is included without a waiting period or answering any health questions.
